I like the direction they sent Lissandra's story in. Once, it was just that she was evil, she had done it for her masters. As I recall they retconned it to make it so that she had done it to seal an abomination and held the guilt and fear for the future on her own while placing herself in an eternal vigil against that abomination. That doesnt change the fact she was the one who advocated for subservience, making her the catalyst for the battle of the Howling Abyss, but she realized, and that's a step in the right direction.

The sad thing about Lissandra is that she has no one but herself to blame for this and that is why she works so hard to hold back the void. SHE made the deal to let the watchers in, SHE put a spell on Ornn's bridge hoping to strengthen it only to decay it over time, SHE sacrificed her sisters, and now SHE has to hold back the void forever more.

Lissandra is shaped by tragedy and perhaps guilt, she made a mistake by negotiating with the watchers which at the moment she had no idea what they really were or their true motives, they tricked her. When she realized what they were trying to do, it was too late, she had to sacrifice everything in order to at least give the world a second chance, since she was the one who committed this mistake she means to make herself responsable to hold it away from the world as long as possible, her temper and personality are shaped by this, imagine expending hundreds of years of your own existence trying to contain an evil that you brought to the world, if she would be evil, what would she gain by keeping the watchers sealed? Her years of existence have made her pragmatic and ruthless, but all what she intents is to give the inhabitants of runaterra more time

I know it’s not but, it would be very nice to see how the “end of the world” was stopped by Lissandra . Since it’s something that’s very heavy in lore . Or even Kai’sa, despite her not being a poster girl, she’s in lore almost everywhere because of her traveling around the world fighting the void . Following kai’sa’s story would bring us to a lot of different regions .
