Did you know Ed Sheeran sent the song Love Yourself to Justin Bieber by mistake? Ed Sheeran wrote the song Love Yourself in 2015 and thought it was perfect for his album divide, but after he wrote the song he accidentally got drunk with his friends. At 5 AM, Ed Sheeran checked his email and saw that Justin Bieber had emailed him about needing songs for Justin’s new album. Ed, who was still drunk, accidentally emailed the song to Justin and his team and told them they could use the song in his album. Ed woke up and totally forgot that he sent Justin the song and when he saw it on the album he realized he made a massive mistake because it became the #1 song in the country.

You know what, I recently went to an Ed Sheeran concert (LOVED IT! BEST TIME EVER!!! HE’S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!), and he actually talked about this. But what he said was that he played this particular song to a bunch of people to see if it was a good idea to include it in his album, and all of them said that they didn’t liked it, so better not include it. But then, he played it for Justin Bieber who said something like “well, I liked it, do you mind giving it to me, then?” And Ed Sheeran was all like: “sure, man, go ahead!”… the rest is history… well, to be fair, he didn’t actually said it was Justin when he was telling the story, so that made everyone in the concert hall freak out in amazement when he suddenly started playing Love Yourself…
