it could also be the fact that jkr played along with the libs game at first, and now she is going against them, so it might be confusing to them, bc a. dumbledore is not gay-no matter how many times she says it as the author; her characters developed as she wrote the books and there is no mention of it being such in the slightest but she stuck by her guns and was quite firm about the whole statement, and now b. she is going against the left bc they have taken it too far with her life's work and are basically forcing her to comply to their every belief-which is wrong but she opened the pandora's box with dumbledore and so c. to contradict yourself in such a way would definitely make you think twice about supporting the person you grew up with because a. you were children when you spent time with her and that means you didnt know every single thing about her or how to read her fully and b. it makes you think which side of her story is the real one-for libs or against libs-which can definitely cause such a reaction as politely denying and saying you are not sure where her intentions are bc that IS the truth, you aren't sure
