Ohh boy does this one look good. I have recently gotten myself a apsc dslr and I am wanting to do night photography (citys and stars) so this looks like a great one to consider. Thanks for the time and effort you put into making videos to help out people like me.

when you're showing us the bottom of the lens where the mounting system is, why does it kinda look like there's a usb-c port on the bottom? am I imagining things, is that a part of a mounting system, or is it something else entirely?

Isn't equivalent in terms of price of the "old" Canon EF 50mm f1.4? I mean, maybe Canon quality is a bit higher than this one? Dunno. Does someone have compared them?

I use an MFT system, so if they release a comparable model somewhere in the 20—35mm range I'd buy the hell out of that!

mhmm im using an old Minolta 50mm 1.4 on my APCS still a good lens but not AF. In Some Situations a AF is a nice gadget because the display and view finder on my a6000 are horrible and somtimes its hard to focus sharp because its not really visable on this bad displays.

beside the price difference,

how is the sharpness of it compared to Sigma 56mm f1.4?

I’m not in tight budget, but if the results are not that different, I will not choose sigma and will buy this lens + one more another lens.
