There’s this superstition back home in the Philippines that whenever attending a funeral or a wake you shouldn’t go straight home because the spirit or the ghost of the dead might follow you so you have to go someplace else or at least stay outside for a while before going inside the house. It’s appropriately named “pagpag” which translates to “shake off.”
