Thanks so much for this stunning video, Maestro Borrero. You are modest when you say “I’m not a trained chemist…”. I am and I don’t have all this knowledge of yours. Of course, Chemistry is a very wide discipline, but still you know a lot plus, of course, all your trajectory as an artist. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge with us. 🙏🏻

Thanks again for an informative video. At some future point it would be interesting to see you demo the "Botizar" (?) technique of scumbling a coat of white over a dry colored underpainting, beating the white out with a sponge to create a velatura, letting that dry and then glazing over top of that to create optical

I live in Cidra, I’m not a proud person, I economically challenged. I’ve been making my own pigments an buying mediums. My question is how, if at all possible, make DIY earth pigments and/or mediums using exclusively the natural resources of what’s available in the East central part of the The island. Things were tight but since the pandemic is worsened. BUT my oil paintings sales have been going up, dramatically. A Godsend!

Thanks for this video. Titian is my current favorite. I just got back from Boston where i saw the Titian exhibit at the Isabelle Gardner museum and it was amazing. I have watched this video multiple times, trying to remember everything

Thank you for all of your knowledge and your channel! I’ve been looking all over for videos on Titian’s pigments. Yours are the most informative by far in regards to historical accuracy. I’m curious is there any chance you could cover or direct me to info on Giovanni Batista Tiepolo’s pigments, or artists around that time? I’ve been wanting to find/make those pigments, but I can’t seem to find books/videos that cover this information.
