In this video I talk about Fonts. Whatever you call them, lettering, typography, typefaces, they can make a dramatic difference to the impact of your brand identity. And you don't need to know a lot to start to make that change. We will learn today, small pieces how you can show your emotions, vibe and values with the right fonts.

Font types and what you need to know about them.
Serif fonts add a touch of elegance and traditionalism to a brand identity. The serifs are the bits at the end of each letter. Serifs can give your brand a look from past, but when combined with colours and styling they can also be ultra modern and elegant. Because of traditional look they are great for classic projects and print.

Sans serif fonts are by their very nature, modern and contemporary. Thy add a streamlined, clean and forward thinking touch to your identity.

Script fonts bring personality and character to your brand identity. And from retro cool to elegant calligraphy there is a script font for every business.

Display fonts are fun to use and will certainly give your identity a very on-treand feel. Use as accent fonts rather than within your logo.

If you have nice handwriting there are ways of turning it to font as nothing can be more personal as your own handwriting.

There are handful of fonts that have a bad reputation, they have been overused and misused.

Choosing a great set of fonts will get you a long way, but how you use the type also matters.
