Crime or blowers: Baltimore City Council caught in heated debate

A proposed ban on gas-powered leaf blowers is one step closer to becoming a law in Baltimore. As the debate in the city council continues, some argue the legislation is long overdue - while others say the city doesn't have its priorities right.

The problem with battery operated tools of any kind is that the batteries will start to pile up, and you'll constantly be buying new ones. For a contractor, that's hundreds of batteries yearly.

How about repainting the lines in the streets so you can navigate the proper lanes and where to cross the street you can barely see them. Lord forbid its raining or snows the light poles / electrical wire poles need to be replaced /painted .Theyhave been standing in the most depressed areas since i was a child early 60's, just look around it can look a whole lot better and attractive.. its unbelievable how those responsible turn a blind eye .

i love how the folks that claim to be all about going green and driving an ev then have giant lawnmowers, gas guzzling leaf blowers and weed wackers hired to care for their small yards cause they are too lazy to do it themselves. Oh and lets not forget the big gas guzzling trucks that haul the equipment and tear up the streets
