MONSTER WEDGE tornado north of Fort Laramie, WY!

Strong large tornado 10 miles north of Fort Laramie, WY. Closed to within 100 m of the tornado with softball size hail cracking the windows. This is my phone footage from before and after intercept. About to upload the Sony 4K handheld.

F***, that's a beast alright, Reed. Wow! Not as big as the 2 mile one in, .. can't remember, but wasn't there one that was 2 miles wide? 2017? Wherever it was, it looked damned scary! This one is pretty damned nasty looking too!

Hey Reed, I would say that’s at least EF4 maybe EF5, I don’t know, that was some destructive hail, easily could’ve took out a window or windshield, or that tornado could’ve been on the high side of an EF3 and approaching EF4 strength, what rating was it given?

I found the tornado on Tornado Archive. It was rated EF2.

Since when do you take goggles with you to protect your eyes from the windshield/windows getting shattered by large hail? I don't think I've ever seen you wear any on your chases (except for the winter storms).

Only one EF5 tornado was ever recorded in Wyoming, but I have zero doubts this tornado would have made that two EF5s if it had struck Ft Laramie head on

Later that day three ef2 tornados hit Sioux Falls sd at around 11:39pm
