Wondered when you would get to him. He is an interesting person. I read several books about him when I too wandered through the new age movement.

I partially credit with him on my return to Catholicism. I figured if he read the Bible cover to cover, maybe I should do it too. After just one read through, I knew the only thing for me was to get my behind back in a pew and get in full communion.

Wow! I wish I knew half of what you have forgotten Mr. Akin, especially about Catholicism. I throughly enjoy all of your content. I just wanted to thank you. God bless you and your family and everyone who helps you with sharing all your knowledge.

I’ve been waiting patiently for this one. Unlike some of his prophecies, this one is coming true!

Jimmy, I don't remember the exact year but you gave a talk in Hopkinsville, KY at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and I went to it. Enjoyed it very much. Edgar Cayce had a photography studio in my home town of Bowling Green, KY and I had an aunt who was really into him. I found him too woo-woo for my tastes but he was an interesting guy for sure.

Wow! I used to read Edgar when I was a teenager as well! There are a couple of writers that came to mind, haven’t looked in the channel yet. One is Carlos Silva of Silva Method of Mind Control, I had quite some experiences with it. Another one is Johannes Greber and his book Communication with the spirit world of God, on which a lot of Jehovah’s Witness doctrines seem to be located. There is another author I can’t remember 🤔 who hypnotized people and they remember their past lives… what’s his name… Brian Weiss!! Many masters many lives!

"They weren't even to be Christians anymore, they were to be heathens. And not even rich heathens; just poor heathens, living with Yankees" THE HORROR!

Now this was a fascinating story! I appreciate getting to hear such a thoughtful presentation of Mr. Edgar Cayce. I didn't expect, at the outset, to learn of his rather admirable start. It sounds like he authentically believed that what he was doing was consistent with Christianity; he resisted receiving financial compensation for sharing what he believed to be a gift from God; and he was intelligent enough to be suspicious, at first, of the words Mr. Lammers attributed to him regarding reincarnation. Even if things twisted further from there, the humanity of Mr. Cayce shows through in the story, enough that we can see how the intervention of others (looking at Mr. Lammers) played a role in twisting Mr. Cayce further away from truth and deeper into confusion. Considering the power of suggestion, and other powers in the world... well, while awaiting Jimmy's Part II analysis next week, I'll just be glad and hopeful for Mr. Cayce's soul that it sounds like there's evidence of healthy intent on his part both near the beginning and end of his life. I hope that in that retreat he took until death, he was responsively interacting with God and re-encountering the truth, free from the pressures away from the truth which he'd been so exposed to for a middle chapter of his life.

That Lammers guy definitely comes across as suspicious, but seems like Cayce may have actually had some psychic ability. Looking forward to next week.
I appreciate your comments about educational rigor and government regulation and the value of money b/c inflation then vs today. True and important to note.

While I am aware of the irrelevance of my comment, I would still like to ask if y’all have considered making an episode about black dogs.
Post Scriptum: By black dog I mean the evil apparitions, not the adorable, or potentially delicious animal.

Nostradamus gets all the prophetic credit and i really dont know why, maybe because hes safely removed far away from us and Edgar Cayce is too uncomfortably close.

So regarding the Christian take that this is the work of Satan to ruin one’s relationship with god… lots of psychics aren’t Christian’s and never were. Some are Buddhists, some were atheists before they received their powers. And many of them have used these powers to solve crimes, heal the sick, and diagnose disease (Casey). I am in this camp myself. I’ve never been a Christian. And receiving these miracles has brought me VERY close with my Creator. So that theory makes no sense to me whatsoever. I pretty much came out of the womb believing Casey’s version of God and what we are. Although I wouldn’t describe it exactly the same. We didn’t fall away from god and come here because we were tainted, but rather we wanted to experience the Creation and so w we chose to come here. And we have amnesia because remembering where we came from would distort free will. This allows us to have an organic experience. It’s illogical that an infinite god would create an eternal soul, then toss it down here on earth, a very hellish world, and for purposes that no Christian can answer other than to worship god. Then we die and are banished to hell (most of us anyway), and that’s forever. Meanwhile the few good apples get to chill in heaven with god for eternity. Makes no sense. There is zero purpose in that. So I think we reincarnate as much as we would like because even though we see earth as difficult, the soul sees it as a fun rollercoaster, which brings us even closer to god thanks to its dualistic nature. And it allows us to experience the creation from every possible aspect. Enter karma. Just my take. I never would have been a Christian because I need logic to blindly believe something. And the Bible is the most illogical doctrine I have personally experienced, particularly when you compare the Old Testament with the New. They’re literally two Gods in those books.

"The game is reportedly fast paced" it's not a good game review if you have to cover yourself by citing other people
