Solomon King was quite a wonderful singer, and I was lucky to be one of his friends. He sang this song we held at a private party and wow he delivered it with a voice that kept getting stronger with every note. He had some country music recordings he had just created in Nashville and they were just as terrific as anything coming out of country music at that time. He loved his black cowboy hat, and yet could appear like a well groomed tuxedo dressed performer should the occasion call for it. A remarkable gentleman, glad I had the privilege to get to know him and see him perform 'She Wears My Ring' in my best friend's living room to all the guests there that evening.

First time I heard this song was on the week of my wedding. I thought it was a good omen, but I was a teenager. I made him listen to it and he loved it too. We were divorced by the time I was 26. I am 58 and can never commit to anyone.
