NACFC 2023 | W01: Infection/Inflammation Models in CF

This session focuses on how infection and inflammation interconnect with the treatment of cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) modulators. The speakers discuss the importance of systemic inflammatory responses, cross-talk among various organs, and novel molecular mechanisms that drive lung inflammation in CF. By studying the intricate cellular dynamics and their role in promoting or regulating infection and inflammation, this session develops a comprehensive understanding of the underlying CF specific mechanisms and potential avenues for intervention.
