Shorting the sense and ground pins on a charger (sense & GND) is a risky move that can lead to several negative consequences:

* **Damaged Charger IC:** The most likely outcome is damage to the Integrated Circuit (IC) within the charger. This IC regulates the charging process, and a short circuit disrupts the intended flow of electricity, potentially frying the chip.

* **Fire Hazard:** In extreme cases, the short circuit could cause overheating, leading to a fire risk. This is especially true if the charger is of poor quality or has faulty components.

* **Unpredictable Behavior:** Even if the charger doesn't get fried immediately, the short circuit can cause erratic behavior. You might experience issues like inconsistent charging, overheating, or even complete failure of the charger.

**Important Note:** There's no benefit to shorting these pins. OTG (On-The-Go) functionality, which allows a device to act as a host, doesn't involve shorting anything. It's achieved through a dedicated OTG cable with the proper internal wiring.
