I feel so bad for Ezio in the end. He seen so much, lost too much, and gained? He needs a new start, a new life, he fought in so many battles and wars then one man can handle. He joined the conflict since he was just a boy and done so many things that no one could believe. Its time for Ezio to rest from the Brotherhood and start a family, he needs it.

Ezio's whole life is a complete masterpiece! Ubisoft's true work of art here. He deserved a well thought out, peaceful and emotional ending to his journey both as an assassin and as a human being... and boy, did he get both with revelations and embers....
