Does the Most Powerful Cell Signal Booster Really Work?! | weBoost Drive Reach

weBoost recently released the Drive Reach cell signal booster which is the most powerful, in-vehicle booster currently available. It provides up to a 50db gain and amplifies the outside signal up to 32x, and sends it to the inside antenna. What makes this even cooler is that it provides a boosted signal not only for yourself but also for all of your passengers regardless of the cell carriers. So today we will be putting the device to the test in order to see just how powerful it really is.

The reason you had a cell signal in the tunnel is because tunnels have radio repeaters that rebroadcast your cellphone signal to an outside antenna and vice versa, basically the same thing your signal booster does in your car.

Just what I love tuning in for, a 15 minute advertisement...

I got a gasoline booster that makes the gas station closer to you when you run out of gas. It works off a cars cigarette lighter as well. You won't have to call for help anymore using the signal boost. I sell my booster for 800 American dollar in Canada but it won't work in America. If you live in America I have a different version to sell you that actually goes into the tank.

I bought one, had a hole burning in my pocket LOL. $550 later and voila internet reception in the boonies. Works excellent.

Just to clarify. If there is no signal you won’t get anything you have to at least some sort of signal for it to work like it’s intended.

The test out in the woods was probably more accurate then the tunnel. The reason I say this is due to tunnels having cell service for emergencies and emergency responders. Radio stations will go out due to them not being a necessity.

Hey, amazing device - whats the EMF and RF levels this little thing puts off while in use?

Which road were you on to lose service. I’m in the LML as well and would like to get one but was wondering what forest service road you went on.

I have the 4G-OTR version and it works in Canada and also USA. Why do you claim the Canadian version is not working in US? Did you try it there? I'm just curious.

anyone try this device in a small cabin (eg 20x20)?

I was looking for a solution for when I go camping out to east Kootenays. Currently use a Garmin InReach for communication. The logging road I drive through to get the camp ground I lose cell service at 11KM up and campground is 37KM up. Even if it say saves me 10-15 KM to drive to get service it's worth it. I can't wait to test it out next May.

Edit:
I purchased this before I ended up finding your review. Given with your testing I'm very optimistic about it's performance.

Frustrating that you need one for canada and one for the usa. Living very close to the border I intend to do adventures in both countries.

You may have better signal under water due to the molecular density and ability for water to transmit frequencies. When you talk on the water, your voice travels. I only know the basics, but that may be a contributing factor.
