If you could get around 15k back for that mulcher. You could buy a second Deere mower. It’s wider, faster field speed (by about double), and it can do 2 tasks where the mulcher can only do 1

I bet chainsaw pulls his hair out behind the scenes

Enjoy watching both you and Chainsaws videos to see each of your prospective. On irregular shaped fields, I think going around the headlands first then start from the middle of the field going in a straight line. Working your way out to the edge would be more efficient.

It would be good to sell the mulcher back given the deere is quicker/wider, even if you need to take a minute to reconfigure it, and sell off some other excess equipment use the money to invest in other equipment. Things like selling the small trailers for a larger carting trailer, sell small tractor when a larger one comes up in the sale, look for a baler improvement for silage work, etc.

Focus on buying the extended working width upgrade for the lime spreader

Should be getting 50k for a load like that in 8m lengths... Literally throwing money away...

Yeah, log length matters when selling, not so much when adding to a production, in that case, its tree type that matters
More.

I feel like there is a bit of a disconnect between Daggerwin and Chainsaw. This series would benefit from in-episode verbal communications to plan and be on the same page. Selling that mulcher was prob enough to buy a second batwing and the logging trailer without selling 10k canola for less than the best price.

Daggerwin Tree's sell for MORE in 8m Lengths you get an average of $2, 000 for 8m logs PER LOG but full trees you barely clear $800 per TREE & you can get 2 8m logs & a 4m or so spear from these trees you waisted cash on the second load as it COULD have been double!.

If you cut the small ends off of the trees, you get more money as the calculated volume increases

Just saying but Lizard makes a pretty tough Timber Trailer

Just an idea but it would be interesting if you rented a piece of forestry equipment like a John Deere Forwarder. It would liven up the considerable amount of tree harvesting you are doing.

Chainsaw must have the patience of a saint.

Have you considered a tow chain for when you need extra pulling power instead of pushing the load

If you repaired those tractors occasionally they would have plenty of power.

Daggerwin:
"If you want to get good wood, you have to strip."
And I was a family friendly channel! 🙃

Its incredibly frustrating how literally everyone has been telling you for a long time now, the beat way to maximize your profits while logging. 6-8m lengths. Its been said for a long time now. You're losing half of what you should be earning by doing it the way you do it. I figured chainsaw would also know better as well. Hes clearly more knowledgeable but feel as if hes playing to your style more than he should to not upset you.... Oh well. Still a good series. Watch every day regardless of the stupidity lol
