Something that people really should understand is that Ukraine’s counteroffensive in the South is of a very different approach than the one in, say, Kharkiv in September.
The Russians have multiple fortified defensive positions in Zaporizhzhia and southern Donetsk, which practically mandates a cautious, methodical strategic approach to reduce casualties and find weak points in the Russian lines.

Say what you will of Prigozhin, you have to admit that he does have a sense of humor...

As a Ukrainian, I of course hate Prigozhin, but lord is he a smart man. He is not afraid to stick it to Putin when he needs to (like when he threatened to pull out of Bakhmut due to lack of supplies) and he tends to have a much more realistic view of the war than those around him. He is also apparently a comedian. might as well send him a 1940s US Corsair because of how funny his request was haha

Jake Broe used the analogy of D-Day/ Operation Overlord. Where he compared the gains of the Allie’s vs ukraines against Russia. Overall the Ukrainians are doing better. They just need one breakthrough that’ll shatter the lines!

I understand why political leaders and motivated party members are always going to claim they have a mandate when they have the slightest chance, but dear god *51% is not a mandate! It is literally divided government!!*

Say this for Prigozhin, he's a demonic ghoul but he does know how to make a joke and play the media.

Wagner having US ammo feels like it should be a bigger story. I really hope somebody's looking into it

Say what you will about Prigozhin, that was some top tier sarcasm. 🤣👌
Also, _duh! Of course he's not gonna tell where he gets that US ammo._ (if he does, but most likely yes)

Edit:
(3:43) _Sooo... basically to just buy time._
That's essentially what this is, in practice.

I feel like an increasingly large portion of these videos are being devoted to self-promotional ads

I noted that the transition between the ad and the content is much clearer. If you saw my comments you.

Ukraine: This is excellent news! I hope to see more progress by Ukraine this month! Hopefully this all ends soon with a resounding Ukrainian victory.

US-China: I hope things simmer down. The tension is quite palpable right now. Though I'm afraid my hopes aren't nearly as high here.

Israel: Israel used to be able to hold the title of the most democratic country in the Mid East. It seems that title may fall soon. Quite a pity.

Sudan: Well this is horrifying. So many people displaced, so much damage done. I hope this also ends soon.

Embryos: As a hopeful parent, this is delightful news! I can't wait to see how this further develops, and hopefully in the next few years, we will have more concrete answers. I have so much respect for people working in genetics and biochemistry.

A year ago this headline would have excited me. But now I've seen a few too many TLDR headlines that try to get ahead of reliable war reporting, jumping into predictions, hypotheticals and premature conclusions. There's far worse reporting out there, yes. FAR worse. But I'm a bit sad that my trust in TLDR's war journalism has been marred just a little.

If they have to be specifically designed to not grow, it means we probably know how to let them grow.

4:15 At this point I wonder if protesting even has any political weight anymore. There were protests in Hong Kong, in Belarus, in Iran, in Israel and they all saw wide international support both domestically and in the west and they all silently fell apart with nothing being protested ever changing. And this is just in the late 2010's and in the 2020's!

Technically the counteroffensive hasn't really started. These are still just preliminary preparations before deploying the vast majority of their forces which are still in reserve.
