Ayoo what's up guys, it's your boy royalG here with a guide on how to peek. Peeking is a fundamental skill in valorant, but so many people don't realize how to properly do it (even radiants). This is why I felt like I needed to make a Valorant peeking guide. So... I'm gonna attempt to help you guys improve at valorant and master peeking!

Also, thank you @Joek1ngTV for letting me use his clip :D

Hey guys! Just to reiterate: I am NOT calling out Joek1ngTV!
I am only pointing out the misconceptions that even high rank players might have for peeking. Peeking is very nuanced and has a lot of considerations. I'm pretty sure even with all the time I've spent studying the game, I don't even have a complete understanding of peeking.
With that being said, I also want to shoutout Joek1ngTV for letting me put this clip in the video in the first place. It takes a mature and open-minded player to willingly put himself up for criticism.
W player and W mindset.

This is one of the best peeking guides. It covers the basic and advanced concepts of peeking.

The T or Right angle rule is such a great descriptor. So many of the older CS guides can't even measure properly HOW to peek, but you could plug your format into an equation and MEASURE the distances for peeking. Thankful for you and that Valorant measures in Meters. Maybe a mathematician can measure peeks like the B main angle on Ascent from your video example! (By making an equation to measure "Correct" peaks and when to break that rule based on a Y factor like a flash or certain weapon difference)

Thank you for the guide and visual examples. i've been playing casually since launch and finally want to try climbing the ranks up and genuinely improving, so i'm taking the game more seriously and looking for guides. Your video explains things well, applies information effectively, and the examples help solidify the peeking information because I can understand WHY these general rules are in place for peeks, and not just try to remember the rules themselves. great vid :)

I love this. People misunderstand what it takes to know and the level of thinking that goes into high level play. This is why there's a lot of people who believe they deserve a higher rank than what they are, or people who think they can judge pro players.

This is the type of content that should never be overlooked, it provides pretty much an entire and completely composed and educated lesson on this type of mechanic. You gave fundamentals, a good example, a bad example, explained why examples are good and bad, and specifically explained and gave an example of each peeking mechanic. it's awesome.

This is actually the most helpful tip on how to peek, and probably what I have been looking for, it showed all my peeking mistakes and helped fix it. Out of all the videos, there's only one that's actually trying to help, and not saying the same stuff each time. Good job

Youre not only talented, but also one of the coolest radiants ive seen on YOutube. I wish you the best and hope to see you at the top of Valorant Youtube one day!

You are really gifted at breaking down complicated concepts for people to learn.

Genuinely useful. Especially mentioning imagine your peek from their perspective. Hardstuck plat and I’ve never thought of this. I feel like using this with info you can not only guess how you should peek but narrow down how the enemy is going to be holding you as well, and from which angle at that. That’s my big takeaway anyways I feel like it’s given me a big perspective change. A guide on reading the enemy and using the timer to predict placement would be cool too, but I guess conditioning varies from player to player. That’s kinda something you just have to pick up I guess.

This is a high quality video. I have struggled with proper peeking for so long and I have never seen anyone break it down so simply before.

Thanks a lot for making this video! this is exactly what I was looking for. I peaked Immortal, I still feel like the way I peak sometimes is really bad and causes me to lose some rounds, so I really needed to hear some of this information . Also I love your content, you're really an amazing content creator and I hope to see more from you in the future.

This is by far one of the best guides written. It's well put together with actual good information and little fluff. Well done.

Sorry for the insertion, but for example in Russia no one asks whether you are ready for a duel or not, you go and do it or lose.
