Good job Alberta, doing something the RCMP and CBSA won’t do.Too bad B.C doesn’t have a strong leader.

The federal government is responsible for the borders not the provinces, but, after nine years of Trudeau’s lack of leadership the situation has finally become a crisis and thanks to Trump its blown wide open and the provinces are stepping up, hope they withhold transfer fees to pay for everything to make our borders safer.

What are you talking about? If Alberta wants to make an a a task force, then they can make one.

Melodrama all for show, subservient to the old con Don already. Immediate action will be to lay blame.

We need to secure our border, the entire length and perimeter… Alberta is one step in the right direction…

Danielle should look at not sending money to Ottawa because this is part of sending them federal taxes. These things are supposed to be covered by Ottawa. Why would you give Ottawa money if you are not getting the services?

I thought they were announcing the plan for Alberta to become the 51st state 😂

Alberta paying more "equalization" to Canada. Borders are the federal government's responsibility.

We need to stick together a Canadians, these rubber backed politicians that suck up to Trump ethier need to get their act together or get replaced. The diplomatic approach would be to appeal to other countries to diversify the export of our resources, but also to stand firm and united against those countries that wish to intimidate us. What happened to being proud strong Canadians!

29million when the border is under federal jurisdiction. How will this new group work with existing RCMP and CBSA and not just be a waste of money? Maybe we should be focusing on diversifying who we are selling to and also not just rely on oil and gas to drive our economy.

According to border services, approximately 20 kg of fentanyl were seized at the Canada US border from October 2023 to September 2024 compared to more than 9500 kg at the Mexico US border. Alberta’s share is minor and actually the number one exporter of fentanyl to the United States is China. So let’s set up a smoke screen and talk about our big drug export problem! If the United States is trying, as the prime fentanyl user in the world, to curb its addiction it should be looking to increase its own security measures with China and Mexico.

Would it be great to have those three pipelines that Trudeau canceled Especially one to the east coast Not to mention those two contracts Canada could of had supplying Germany and Japan with LNG

Isn’t it up to the US to monitor what and who enters into America. Silly, Alberta. Hope they can keep all those guns from cross into AB at least.
