A day after Canadian PM Justin Trudeau deposed before the foreign interference commission and did a volte-face, saying the government had no hard proof regarding the involvement of Indian diplomats with regard to the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, India has responded strongly. In his weekly press briefing, MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the current crisis has been precipitated by the baseless allegations of the Trudeau govt. He also told reporters India had withdrawn its diplomats from Canada first, before the Canadian govt announced it had asked them to leave. Jaiswal also responded to some other pressing issues.
