After completing this modification you should test it by racking your slide then pull the trigger and hold the trigger down while shaking your gun back and fourth and you should hear your firing pin assembly rattling back and forth inside your slide freely, if this does not happen it means that you don't have enough clearance between the maritime cups and the firing pin channel tube, this takes away the velocity needed to set of the primer on the bullet or you could get frequent light strikes, the easy fix for this would be to lightly sand or polish the edges of the maritime cups until your firing pin assembly runs freely on it's own without the assistance of your finger, I had this problem when installing new maritime cups and found out about this method of checking the firing pin assembly through a book I bought written by Robb Manning called "GLOCK, reference guide) it's a 222 page pictorial book that I recommend every glock enthusiast to have and read, best regards!

As a factory certified Glock armorer I had to note something here: These are NOT "underwater" spring cups as everyone so erroneously refers to them as. They are simply designed to allow any moisture that may have been introduced to the firearm to escape without creating a hydraulic situation within the striker channel that causes a misfire.
Unless you carry your Glock in a high moisture environment (marina, waterfront, beach, etc) it is no recommended to install these due to the decreased contact area and shorter service life.
Again, they are NOT so you can fire the gun underwater.

9 years late, I finally became a Glockster. Great tips.

The MSC only have 4 small points of contact within the firing pin channel witch equates to less friction throughout entire length of travel, herd comp. shooters use them for this reason

There are metal shards in your gun....oil?

Do you know of any of these metal (or high quality polymer) spring cups that fit on a Taurus 9mm g2c?

After watching several videos about how to change Glock maritime spring cups, I almost went to a gunsmith. This video is so well made, that it puts all the others to shame. After watching it, I did it myself. Bloody well done, thank you!

Though you missed a few points it's quite a fine video with decent macro. Thank you much! The points you had missed involved matters other than installation and orientation of the spring cups. You could've performed a mandatory safety check of the visible tip of the firing pin extending past the breach, and not, the firing pin 'shake' test, and a view of the extractor after reassembly with tip of the extractor depressor plunger aside the rear of the extractor as proper. Since you went in that direction I felt it helpful to others to comment.

Man. You make it look so easy. My spring ia super freaking tight. Maybe it's because its brand new. Idk. But i have been trying to put my cups in for almost an hour. Still no luck

Im about to buy a pair. I just want my glock to be more reliable. My gun jammed recently and if it was a life or death situation i woulda been dead. So it sounds like it makes the firing reliable so im going to see for myself

My man, getting STRAIGHT to the content and not giving a multiminute preamble asking us to like and subscribe. I love it. One tip I can suggest is resting the firing pin assembly on the slide, where it goes in but put it in "backwards" and then twist. That part on the firing pin will rest on the back of the slide, and it'll be a really nice, stable area to work with.

I recommend shining a flashlight down into the firing pin well before reinstalling it, and look for any brass shaving build-up on the lip where it seats. There tends to be a lot of it smashed in there that could eventually result in light strikes if allowed to build up. The first time I did this I picked a ton of it out using a scribe.

How "universal fit" are spring cups?
I lost half of mine while cleaning my MC1SC. It's so similar to a glock that I ordered glock because I couldn't find them for my Mossberg. Guess I'll find out for sure when they get here.

You do not want the two half’s of the spring cups to line up to where the spring ends. Put them 90 degrees out from that point.

I do. Doesn't hurt. Never had a problem. I got these from lonewolfdistcom So they are made by LWD. Ghost also makes some. There is a factory version as well but in my opinion they don't fit as good as these white lwd's. No experience with ghost.

My problem with the maritime cups occurred with the ones I bought from ghost inc.

Massive thanks, helped tremendously. But, question. They say they don't last that long. Is that true. I mean judging from the material
