Simplicity Wooden Gear Clock - first test July 14, 2016

Bill Chapman and I are building wooden gear clocks using the Simplicity Clock design by Clayton Boyer. This is the first test run with none of the cosmetic features installed yet using temporary weights. The clock ran for a few minutes. Looks like we have a significant amount of internal friction we need to eliminate.

Note - we gave up trying to get these clocks working. We boxed up the parts and have offered them to the members of the Kalamazoo Maker Space free if they want to tackle them. We have not had luck reducing the friction sufficiently to keep them running. -- Dave

I'm about to start on this clock. I need a sanity check, though, as I'm not 100% sure I'm printing the templates properly from the dxf. Can you give me (roughly) the diameter of the largest gear for this clock?
