floppy chain pizza used to be in the mid-6s. Wow. Prez getting kind in his old age.

7.4 might be the new 6.8 but 7.9 is the new 8.3

Floppy messy chain pizza is now mid 7's.. Dave better go back to Jacks coal fired pizza and re-score that lowsy 7.8 he gave them.

That’s a 6.4 all day. Dave’s getting soft.

We need a complete reset of pizza reviews. Everyone knows what Dave has been doing to prop up these pizzerias and it's exactly what he should be doing. But we're 5 years past COVID. Reset and drop the hammer.

The Original Grottos on the boardwalk at Rehoboth Beach was great 35-40 years ago!
Plus, the feeling of eating a slice and drinking a beer while sitting on the boardwalk hearing the ocean was amazing!

One bite, 2025, everyone’s getting a 7+

Your suspicions were correct. It is a chain, and it is also boardwalk pizza. They're all over Ocean City Maryland.

That is NOT a 7.4 pizza - it looked like it was ready to disintegrate when he was holding it. A football pizza is 7.4 and that was no football pizza and more of a 6.4

Grotto is from Wilkes Barre, PA near Old Forge. Different style of pizza from Old Forge. They have about a half dozen locations. There are a few in Wilkes Barre. There's one in Wilmington and I think maybe one in FL because the family that owns it vacations in those places. I love the stuff and try and get it whenever I make it to Wilkes Barre.

We get Grotto every time we visit Rehoboth Beach. He looks like he got a slightly undercooked pie. It usually has a little less flop and the cheese doesn't slide of the slice. It's good boardwalk pizza. The sauce makes it unique as it has a sweetness to it. 7.4 might be a little high. Definitely the max score it would ever deserve.

Nicks Pizza (closed currently relocating) - La Pizzeria Metro (10 minutes down the road from that Grottos).. and Pizza by Elizabeths. Top 3 in North Delaware. I live across 202 where you just were at that Grottos. 🤙🏻

These reviews ain't the same anymore. Every pizza is basically, "eh, it's decent"

Everyone hating hasn't experienced the legendary taste.

Dave can't drastically change his scale and then expect all his fans to continue showing respect he really needs to stop worrying about feelings so much and just rate the damn pizza lol

You either love or hate grottos, it’s different. I had it since I was a kid at the beach, and I love it. The sauce is sweet and they put half over the cheese

2:00 and some change for a 7.4. Something's going on here.

As a Delawarean this pizza has a unique taste which I’ll crave at times and it’s delicious. They have a bunch of places down the beach. Family owned.

The last twelve months of Barstool Pizza Review has been mostly solid and entertaining (Baltimore was on point).

The score range on the other hand makes me feel like we’re watching Dave hang em up. Everyone get’s a consultation prize?

Some of these places you may be helping out initially; but in the long run they are not good enough, and they need to improve or die. Scott, let’s keep the score honest with merit.
