Thanks Dave...I have a Garmin Varia, and I love it ! It was the only light with the radar available, at the time . I have always used Garmin devices, and I know of no other GPS company with their expertise . Yep, it ain't cheap, but worth it, to me . I am OAF, SAF, and loving bikes !

I have an early varia! Great bit of kit. 17 hours is a decent run time.

I have a bryton rider 420 bike computer and i recently bought a garmin varia. My only complain is on the bike computer. There is a vertical strip that is black in color, and the car also appear in black color with a border. This makes it very hard to see. Im now contemplating to change to a garmin or wahoo bike computer instead.

I’ve had a Garmin Varia for about 6 months, paired to a Wahoo head unit. Works well for approaching cars and useful for warning of bikes on cycle paths too when my mind is rambling👍🏽. I had a recent rash mate…triggered by antibiotics so have you had any recently ? Either way get well soon and take it easy, get well first mate.

Have always run lights in daytime on the road, interesting tech though I suspect the detection rate might not be as good as the Garmin will see how you get on with it.

lol lights lights light I believe in them. Might try filming them at dusk, or dare I say it, Dawn.

I’ve been using daytime lights for 10 plus years....have a few custom made ones together with some NiteFlux red zone 8 which I’d highly recommend! Also I’d highly recommend using two rear lights just in case one if it’s one light you are running then you’d be very wise wearing clothing that is more hi viz....it’s not a bicycle thing out there it’s sadly a car thing and we come off worse .... 🙂👍🏻

See a couple of reviews on this model and it's not as accurate as the megene or the Garmin version @Gp Larma has the latest firmware to test but dose'nt look great when as many version of firmware out and not 100% working 🤔

My only complaint is that it won't pick up objects coming up on you slowly, like other cyclists. It would be great to have that sort of detection available as well.
