Don't start taking things off the car. Leave as is. I'm a 80 year old great grandma and I would love to have it. Looks like a lot of fun to play with. I can see why you're Uncle liked the PT Cruiser. If you decide to sell it put up the site so I can check it out for myself.

I had a PT convertible just like it. Everyone made fun of it, but I loved it. Pretty fast and fun to drive. Enjoy! You got a great deal!

A853 2.4 turbo engine is cast block and aluminum head. I work on srt-4 neons for a living and do pt cruisers too. The timing belt on this car is actually pretty easy to do. Engine is also non interference so if the belt snaps, won’t hurt a thing. Good buy for the price, randy!

I still have a soft spot for the PT Cruisers, they were decent cars for what they were. They weren't designed to be luxury cars, or even "nice" cars, they were inexpensive economy cars, and they were priced that way. The hardtops were versatile and useful. The looks were love or hate, myself, at the time they were originally introduced I thought they looked nice.

It's a shame people won't pay for the Cutlass. I think it's worth at least what you want for it but I love that car. I love all of these cars. I just renewed Ellie my daily turd that won't die and I feel bad that my Betty is sitting.

I have a good friend from high school. He’s a mechanic, his wife had a non-turbo PT and he HATED IT! He mentioned it was a nightmare to work on.

I remember going to a Dodge, Chrysler and I believe Plymouth dealer when the convertibles first came out and checking them out. It was the most solid convertible I ever sat it.

When I shut the door on a PT convertible when new, it was like sitting in a snare drum. It was the most insulated convertible I’ve ever sat in, at least when it was new.

I always wanted a convertible, Turbo, 5–speed PT.

I think this one is a good one.

I do wish it didn’t have Pep Boys Buick port holes and the hood ornament but, if those things are appropriate on any car, it would be a PT.

I’m glad to see you giving this one some love and wish your uncle was still here to enjoy it.

Btw, in my opinion, the eggplant color is the most iconic color on these, followed by Cool Vanilla.

Timing belt change is 100k. You are good to go for awhile. I had the exact same car color and everything. I put 309k on it no problem ever just regular service. Three timing belts gave it to a kid and he's still rolling strong!

Have a 02 Chrysler PT cruiser bought it used from Copart had it shipped from out of state. The back was hit hard had it fixed I still have it over eight years later 193, 000 miles and still going strong.

Hey Randy. The weatherpeaks are an all weather tire with a 70k tread life. They will be fine all year. Also I think a red hatter is a club for senior ladies. So I think that was owned by a little old lady. Great shape vehicle.

Randy, those tires on your PT Cruiser look to be Bridgestone Blizaks. If that's the case and your looking at keeping this a bit you'll want to get an all season tire and save those snow tires.

i have bridgestone weather peaks on my rav4. they are NOT a winter tire, but a three peak certified all season tire.

Like the PT Cruiser convertibles but not the wagons!
By the way, a blast from the past - I watched the Uber Man Christmas video from 2014. It made my day! 😃🎄🎁

One of my Uncles had a early 2000s PT Cruiser for years and he loved it. He had to get rid of it as it had too many problems.

The only one I really like is that Oldsmobile. A real bargain at $2000 to $2250. If had the money I'd come and get it.

If they're Bridgestone Weatherpeaks like you said in the video, they're a pretty good snow-rated all season tire

Good morning Randy. All of your new cars are nice. Can't wait for the videos on them. The 2005 PT Cruiser is a good looking car even though it's been sitting a long time. Let's see if it will run and drive.
