Ok... Im not trying to be a buzz kill here... but I have the 2010, 1198 and my crank went from doing that... (Over $9, 000 of warranty work to rebuild the entire motor I can Email you the receipts)  Heres why, its a deep sump oil system, and when you wheelie it, its like taking a cup of fluid with a pump in the bottom and laying the cup on its side, the fluid falls out of the cup and the pump pumps nothing...  If you do your own oil changes, that secondary filter IS the bottom of the oil pump... look at the shape of the case... you will see exactly what I mean...

In other words, when the from tire goes up high, the motor does not get enough oil, Which is fine for just a few seconds, but your like me, and you don't know what a "Short Wheelie" is... Because of this my crank got starved of oil and my motor Locked Up on my birthday (True Story).... So I hope you have the Ever Red Warranty....

This design is Perfect for racing, but Terrible for wheelies, which is stupid because the thing has so much Raw Power all the damn time that its always wheeling even when you don't want to...
I do not know if the newer 1198SP made changes to the oil pump design, I believe that they did not... I am just telling you what happened to me, I do understand that different people get different results and I'm not trying to start up any big debates... I wish you the best of luck....

Lachen, voordat je daar op en neer ging rijden op een wiel ff met 2 wielen op de grond gescheckt met je stinger card of het verder veilig is Op 1 wiel werkt dat allemaal wat minder.
