Went to London recently and was shocked at the sheer amount of locals who've been turned into beggars and homeless people.

Feel so sorry for them. Life is hard in the UK, especially in London

‚We don’t have the weather so what are we doing here?‘
Exactly mate, I moved to the Mediterranean Sea in last years October and it was the best decision I made in the last 10 years. The rent, the quality of life, the weather, the recreational activities, I reckon that you should give it a go

"We don't have the weather so what are we doing here"? My thoughts exactly mate. What's left other than drowning ya self in alcohol. But I wouldn't recommend that either. Maybe when you do get some time off ya soul destroying office job in the city you can take a mortgage out on a train ticket and make your way (after some delays of course) down to the seaside and swim in some raw sewage?

I moved from the London area 17 years ago after just working and just about having enough to get by.

Now I'm about to do the same in Dorset, can't afford to live here anymore so Scotland is my next destination

You realistically need £30K after tax to live in London as of 2020. You can get by with 24K after tax but anything below 21K… You may as well start a life of crime or join only fans

I dont understand the desire to live in these mega cities. Get the skills for a job that can be done remotely or find a job in your field in a smaller metro. Here in the USA i avoid the "mega" cities like the plague (chicago, boston, DC, San Diego, San Francisco, New York City, Houston, etc you get the idea).

I lived in London in early 2000. Having two jobs I was living a relatively good life. I can't imagine how working class people, especially immigrants like me, are dealing with living costs.

I live in silicon valley, make about 5k a week and can barely afford to live. Based on what these people say, London sounds pretty good right now

London is expensive from many many years because many millionaires and billionaires have risen the cost of living so my question is this:Why do you continue to live in London when there are so many wonderful cities in UK much more cheaper as Leeds, Liverpool, Newacstle and Manchester??Why??London is a city just for rich people from many years like New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Paris and many others cities in the world.

The world is currently facing a crisis of inflation, and I'm unsure about the discussions among global leaders in G7 or G20. Inflation is taking a toll on people's mental well-being. It seems that these groups primarily serve the interests of the business world, resembling boardrooms or lobbying efforts. It appears that they are less concerned about the common people and the inflation crisis. The private sector seems to have a significant influence on global affairs and may be manipulating factors to raise prices

Why would anyone want to live in a city that is this expensive?
