I'd rather have good gameplay and good performance/responsiveness over amazing graphics. Tired of these bloated, poorly optimized unreal engine games. Graphics look fine to me anyway honestly for this game.

A video game is meant to be played for its fun mechanics and gameplay, and the most important thing needed for good feeling controls and responsiveness is performance. Good graphics are nice, but not essential for a good video game.

Just got through this same mission last night. It was goddamn epic. And the whole thing started with a dust storm and you dodging a goddamn laser amd made you think "i'm supposed to stop this all by myself!?"

Game looks amazing, especially when you see it for your self and not on a stream or video. Really don't get the "graphics look bad" Andy's that this game has had a lot of.

I think people don’t understand that the art direction is about scale so if your character is the size of a 3 story house (or larger) then essentially the environment around you is supposed to reflect that. There is a lot detail in the buildings for example you can notice flights of stairs on walls or buildings, windows in each column, roads, lamps, fences. It would have been really impressive though if they had civilians scurrying around like ants just too emphasize how huge you actually are. I think the graphics look great. And the fire power is very pretty lol

The devs knew how beautiful this game is, I remember there was a mission where you protect a nuke so the can launch it, after the launch sequence the NPC will mark the location of the impact in your screen so you can appreciate the fireworks!

AC games have aged surprisingly well considering the art direction has always been weird as hell. This will look fine in 5 years, where as some of the AAA offerings that go hard on "realism" always look terrible a few years later by comparison.

around the second time i did this mission i wanted to stand on top of it as the mission was ending but i wasnt standing far away enough and got crushed by the front section of it you learn something new everyday

Its really obvious that the graphical fidelity in this game is not priority and it still looks great, but from software always did that, the best part of their games is art direction that carry the visuals and this one is no exception.
The art direction of this game made me interested and the gameplay made me love it. Only 2 chapters till the end but i know this is NOT made to be finished once.

Finally after all these years I have finally found a better explosion than Halo 3's scarab; it brings a tear to my eye.
