Great video ! You proved it is possible to remove, and install, the intake manifold with everything still attached (fuel rail, MAP sensor).

APRIL 2023 paid cash for the FXST...had my dealer put an aluminum intake manifold and drag bars before she came off the showroom floor. I think the plastic manifold on an air-cooled machine is crazy. I started seeing it on liquid cooled autos and thought that was pretty lame years ago.

My stock manifold warped enough that it wasn't seating properly on my 2020 FXST, and of course was leaking and making the bike run like a pile of shit. Replaced with the S&S piece. Not hard to do at all, but you're definitely working with limited space. It's tedious, time consuming and slow going, but straight forward and not complicated. Worth the money, if for nothing else, than for the peace of mind knowing it ain't gonna fucking warp again. 😂

I went with the SE 55mm. I was shocked by the oily carbon deposits in the cylinder head intake runners. 32.5k o the clock.

Two questions: What’s the size of the long ball allen socket? Now that S&S came out with a fuel rail part, do you recommend replacing that too?

Hey, just took your advice and ordered the newer S&S Premium 55mm CNC Ported Black Manifold. The bike was already dyno-tuned a while back, so will installing just this throw that tune off and make me have to get it re-tuned? Thank you. @Tucker Speed nice video and thanks for the tips. one more question, the torque on the screws for the throttle body to the manifold was 50 inch pounds, and the screws on the manifold was 150 inch pounds? sorry, for asking. but i live in germany and had to convert the torque in newtonmeters.

yes it does why i replaced the plastic one with a screamin eagle one so that it's partially covered under the extended warranty should it become a issue given all the other issues i keep having with the m8.

I have already done a full stage 2 or even a stage 2.5 on my 2019 road glide and when I was done with the build you guys tuned it on your dyno for me. If I change this manifold out whether I go with the 55mm or even the bigger one I THINK it’s 62mm (maybe). But anyway, will I have to go back on the Dyno again for another $500.00 or will it run great without another Dyno tune?

Does it have to be ported and polished to be effective? I have 107 with s&s 475 adj. Push rods tappet cuffs and lifters. S.E. hi flow intake breather and 2-1 bassani exhaust.

What’s your opinion, I have read that the S&S castings are terrible, that if you were to mic both intake ports they are off from one another plus they say the internal casting is really rough, they say that actually Harleys SE is a way better product. Problem currently Harley needs to get there shit together there intakes are 5 weeks back order for the past two months. I may end up getting the S&S. Thank you for the video!
