Paris Olympics 2024: Trains Hit By 'Massive' Sabotage

On the eve of the Olympics, Trains across France have been disrupted. The country's Transport Minister Patrice Vergriete says "Coordinated malicious acts" had targeted several railway lines. Bloomberg's Paris Bureau Chief Alan Katz joins Bloomberg Radio's Caroline Hepker and Tom Mackenzie to unpack the breaking story.

I saw another video reporting that France was trying to spend less on security expenses for these games. I wonder if this has led to increased vulnerabilities. This is particularly worrying since at the moment there are so many extremist groups coming from all directions and all of them want attention.

Macron has retained the government he had until the newly elected representatives -- with the radicals of the right kicked into the weeds along the curb -- can agree to form a centrist government that will be pretty much like the one before the election.
