Mick Terrill earned a championship shot in his next bout when he defeated Steven Banks by TKO due to doctor’s stoppage at BKFC NewCastle. The bout was waved off in between the second and third rounds due to a nasty cut on Banks’ face.

Banks was looking for a comeback after losing two straight fights by decision, but he couldn’t get anything going against Terrill as he constantly found himself on the defensive. Banks did manage to land some shots early in round one, but Terrill took control of the fight quickly and landed heavy shots that stunned his opponent before ending things with a flurry of punches later on in round two.

Next up Mick Terrill will rematch Arnold Adams.
