It's time to learn Italian! Whether you're studying Italian in school or you just need a few phrases to visit Italy, this is the playlist for you! Vocabulary sorted by category, easy-to-understand explanations of all the tricky grammar, and lots of tips regarding culture and etiquette so that you don't make a fool of yourself in Firenze!

Just in case you're skeptical of this content, I must inform you that this series is the result of a collaboration between myself and my mother, Patrizia Farina, a native Italian who has taught the language to undergraduates for the past 30 years. So this is the real deal! We will follow her rigorous curriculum through multiple beginner and intermediate Italian courses, which means you won't find better Italian tutorials anywhere on the internet! So what are you waiting for, dig in!

Hi professor Dave, first of all i should say that you're of the most perfect people i've ever known.... actually the word تخت جمشید which you mentioned is not Arabic, but it's Persian.

I'm learning italian so I can move there when I can afford to. It'll probably be about 5 to 10 years until that happens but until then, I can start learning so I can hopefully not seem so foreign.

Hi pro dave!
You’re amazing
Thanks alot for your perfect teaching
But there is very little mistake.
تخت جمشید
Is not arabic, it’s Farsi
And تخت جمشید is the name of historical palace in Iran 🇮🇷 not in arabic countries.
And arabic and farsi are completely different languages!
Best regards 🙏🏻

I'm a 3rd generation Italian, and my great grandmother never taught us, but I always wanted to learn. This is amazing.

Man, thank you! Italian may not be one of the most spoken languages (In fact, it's the 27th most spoken language in the world with approx. 68, 000, 000 speakers, which is fewer speakers than its cousins Spanish, French, and Portuguese), but it's such a beautiful language and I'm glad you're teaching it to those who are interested, me included.

As an Italian, I'm happy hearing non-Italian people talk about our culture

As a Spanish who got "stuck" in Italy for a year I must say their comedy movies and music are awesome.
I was meant to stay a couple of months to improve my accent (I study languages) but I'm still here and I just love it!
I'm currently studying a movie "amici miei", housemates said if I want to really master the language I should be able to perform a "supercazzola" not sure if they are jocking or what, but I watched that movie 3 times and I still don't know a supercazzola is, and if I ask around people start talking a language that is not Italian wtf?
Here is beautiful and crazy😂
