YouTube algorithm has changed a lot. I had a channel with over 270 000 subs and was getting over 100 000 views a day and was inspiration for other channels to start the same (in other words they copied me) and suddenly my channel can't reach 25 000 views a day. Impressions, CTR, watchtime, and other statistics are better than ever, but videos are just not being recommend, in other words, not being shown to viewers. So yes, shadow banning and other hidden youtube criteria are hidden from us.

What IS interesting is how I post a 10 minute video on TikTok and get 100, 000 views but on YouTube I get 600 views… explain that!

Well I got shadow banned - for the unlikely reason that I actually answered a YouTube survey honestly. Once I submitted that 2 days and it happened. From Jan 19th to Feb 6th I posted 29 Shorts, which averaged 2700 views, 45% viewed, 55% swiped away. Average view percentage just over 140% and all videos in a similar fashion and about 10 seconds. From Feb 7th to Feb 25th I have posted 18 Shorts averaging 89 views, same % for views/swipes and also view percentage. The only difference is that they are not getting shown in the feed. As at today the shown in feed is 88% less than the prior 28 days – however there’s a few big days about to drop off – so the reality is more like 98% drop in how much I am getting shown in the feed.

Great when I watch someone like Mr Beast talking about it saying it is nonsense. According to him if you’re not getting views it is because your videos suck. Very encouraging.

We were getting a few hundred subs a day and thousands of views. The next day we started losing subscribers and our views tanked. We kept producing content like nothing happened. But we were getting no views, and we were still losing subscribers. After exactly 30 days we started gaining subscribers again and getting views. What we think we did to get shadow banned was posting the same video multiple times a day trying to get on the short feed. Somebody named Todd that works for YouTube kind of verified this on the vid IQ discord.

Same here. I post content everyday. Suddenly videos get 1k views and next video stops in 76 views. Like abruptly stops. I see other channels with no actual YouTube name, no hashtags, no description there is not even an about the channel section filled but they got 100k followers with just 4 videos. I don't understand how. I'm tired at this point.

Youtube algorithm is a software that is created by humans, it has not been and will never be perfect. I don't believe in shadow-banning (actually first time to hear about it) but I believe that many channels with good content that offer huge value to audience are being drowned by the algorithm. Can anyone explain why channels with exact content like others get little to no views while other channels get thousands of views? You argue that the content is crappy, but I tested this in many channels and many niches and I can confirm to you that the only explanation is that the algorithm does have bugs and that's normal because it is developed by humans.

I agree with everything that you say. But it gets so frustrating when you find smaller youtubers that post less than you, have screen shot thumbnails, no description, getting a lot more views and exposure tha me, with the same or worst quality video/storytelling/topics. I don't want to brag or sound like I feel I'm better than others, I have a lot to learn too but sometimes it feels pretty aleatory, hope to get better and understand what I'm doing wrong and change.

I don't believe in what your saying. My views was way up for a new channel, but then a few days ago it flat lined over night and I kept on posting good content, but still FLAT LINE! How can you explain it?

What about videos that are doing well and all of the sudden YouTube just stops recommending it. I dropped a video on Friday and it started out better than most of my videos. 8% CTR and yet YouTube just stopped recommending it. Impressions literally flatlined.
