Shane beats Rick every season. And IQ goes to Shane too. Shane is the best strategist and toughest man in TWD. I actually never saw why IQ always goes to Rick. In fact, shane's IQ is underrated, 90% of it is because you don't like him. His plan to get Randall out was very good, Rick screwed up more than once and many people died because of him. Rick risked the lives of Glenn and 3 other people in the group (in season 1). No one died because of Shane, he killed Otis and he did the right thing because he was the only hope, but Shane never endangered the group, never! And Rick did it many times. You say Shane or merle were evil - but you never talk about how your rick killed innocent employees at Negan's precinct in his sleep.
