I'm finally back to work! As schools open up again, I am so so SO excited to get back into the classroom to substitute teach. I'm working towards getting my Masters in Elementary Education and my teaching certificate so subbing has been an amazing experience in the meantime! Here's what I absolutely cannot live without when I'm heading to a subbing job. I'm happy to say that I've never found myself in a situation where I really needed something and didn't have it with me!

NOTE: I forgot to mention masks because I always keep these in my car, but I always take a mask with me to school now as they are required!

This video was helpful especially the information on introduction and expectations. I’ve watched several of these packing videos or substitutes first day. None of them have really mentioned how they introduced themself and specific expectations. I really like the overall class prizes versus individual prizes. Thank you!

Love this. I'm planning to become a sub and have been making a list of items I want to have on hand. One thing is, I want to make separate go to boxes to change out, depending on what grade I'm assigned to. I'm honestly excited at the idea of becoming a sub and doing that while I am going to school for my bachelors degree.

I am about to accept a position as a district substitute and I’m really nervous about the change. I’m going back to get my MAT and secondary education with an emphasis in English, and I thought this would be invaluable experience while I get credentialed. I’m watching all types of subbing videos to prepare lol
