Even post pandemic that is a lot for a small villa with a tiny kitchenette. Almost every private villa has a pool, outside tanning area as bog standard. You've been had and it's people paying these ridiculous prices that's artificially inflating prices even more.

That’s crazy how expensive it’s got! I went just before the pandemic and it was like £1 a beer even in a bar, staying in a luxury villa for a month with a pool was about 800! The accommodation cost seems to have doubled! Everywhere has gone up though.

Canggu is also tourist/poser Central so these prices don't surprise me. I imagine accommodation would be cheaper in other major bali hubs like seminyak and legian.

I just got home from 2 weeks in Bali. Spent far more than I expected. Probably 3.5k including accommodation. Was 100% worth it though
