How To Make Balsamic Glaze

It seems easy but mine stayed watery. I will try again with the other half of the balsamic vinegar of modena bottle. I used a simmer burner and may not have been boiling hot enough. Does this need a extremely hot rolling boil to get the process started?

Question. It is shelf stable for more than a month in the bottle once opened. So why is it only good for a month after heating and adding sugar?

There are 2 ingredients: Balsamic and sugar. But the sugar is optional?
So balsamic glaze is just reduced balsamic? No zips or whistles?

I made some balsamic glaze today for the first time and the acidic fume it emitted reeked my whole apartment!! 😷😂 i love how it turned out though. So if anyone wants to try making this, do it outdoors! 🙏🏼

Clears the eyes and nostrils, a wasp flew in the window while i was making this, had a vespine stroke and flew out of the vacinity as fast as possible

Dude at first I thought it was dark chocolate and trust me, if I was there I would have dumped the whole thing into my mouth without a second thought.
