This was an interesting comparison. They trade blows and I was not expecting them to be so close. Which Phone do you like most? Team iPhone or Team Pixel?

Am I the only one who think iPhone's overt saturation makes people look orange all the time??

Thanks for the comparison, and especially for the raw review. Could you do an expanded RAW review for phones?
I found myself having to use only the phone while on a trip where my x100f bit the dust, and shot everything RAW. It worked better than I expected (to the point that I now don't think I need a dedicated camera with me on EVERY trip), but I wonder if there are some better ways to get the most out of RAW on phones, esp the Pixel. I had a Pixel 5 with me at the time, now have the 6.

Good comparison, thanks. You didn't talk much about video but, surprisingly, I think the Pixel did a better job for video in your comparison. One thing to remember, on the Pixel (at least on my Pixel 5 which is running Android 12) you can change face retouching to Subtle or Smooth, which would eliminate that over sharpening of her face.

Makes you wonder how Apple and Google choose their algorithms. Both seemed flawed somewhat but in different scenarios.

Yeah, that portrait shot was really bad on the Pixel. They need to tone down some of that processing

when you put the raw images into Lightroom, did you make sure Lightroom wasn't automatically applying Apple ProRAW profile to the image? When I import mine into Lightroom, it automatically applies it and I usually bring it down about 50% or so

Man the RAW portraits from the 4x telephoto look so good! I wouldn't even bother with the portrait mode except for maybe in lowlight. Another great comparison.

Would you recommend recording in 4k 60 fps or is 4k 30 fps enough on the pixel?

I can't seem to get rid of my Xperia 1ii the burst autofocus and tracking are killer if I need a still shot bad enough I can shoot raw. 120 fps 4k and a shutter button it seems to capture the candid shots you need

You get some great lowlight shots bro! Damn

Is the night mode on either of these phones better than the P30 Pro?. I really have doubts and even though my contract ran out months ago I can't see that there is a phone that beats it's camera apart from the p50, which has no google apps. I might have to just wait it out to see if other manufactures up their game or Huewie get's google apps again?

A raw file doesn't serve as a parameter to talk about realism, that is why it is a raw file, because it is equal to a negative. Ultimately it is the photographer who develops the image. What matters is the dynamic range and sharpness, the rest, like the "colors", doesn't serve to measure the quality. From I appreciate is that the raw file on the Pixel looks better than the iPhone.

You should just use the 1x Portrait Mode on the Pixel 6 Pro. The 2x Portrait Mode is digital zoom and oversharpening a lot with bad artifacts. I wish more youtubers talk about the lack of Portrait Mode using the 4X zoom so that Google will possibly adding the feature in later software update.

You can tell the difference between overscharpening and details. I think it does the super res zoom to give it more details on a main lens.

What is that stand you're using to hold both phones? I am starting my on phone comparison channel soon and looking for one of these right now. THanks

I guess I'm an idiot, but I turned on Raw photos on my 6 Pro and all of the images saved to my photos were all super blurry. What's the benefit of shooting in raw if it looks like crap after you take the photo? What am I missing?

Did you shoot in most compatible jpeg on iphone or high efficiency thanks

How do I know if you take 12mp or 50mp on Google pixel 6 pro because you're just snap the picture without looking the setting?

Both are great camera phone. But I think I'll go with Pixel I kinda like the natural color tone it gives
