My wife had a full emergency hysterectomy due to hemerging. It is 6 years after surgery and she says sex feels like she is getting Stabbed she says pain is so bad she has been staying in the bathroom after her shower to cry sex is so painful for her. We use to be intimate 2-3 a week but since her hysterectomy and the pain being so bad we might be intimate every 3-4 months its really hard on are relationship but I stand by my wife because I love her.

been married 30yrs this year. wife had a hysterectomy 7 years ago as a cancer preventative & sex drive and desire is non existent since. obviously preventing cancer is the right choice but think couples should be told the truth about the effects. we would’ve spent our time more affectionately knowing that part of our relationship was ending.

That’s not what the women’s doctor told me, what she said was that there’s fibroids on the uterus, making the uterus, a lot bigger or heavier, causing a prolapse of the pelvic floor and there’s also a prolapse of my bladder somewhat… I am under the impression if you remove your uterus that you will no longer have the regulatory hormones to help you through menopause and then after menopause usually the fibroids will shrink down in size. I have no idea how big these fibroids actually are as the doctor will not properly tell me and they’re giving me a runaround. Also, if you remove the uterus, wouldn’t that be a big gaping hole that would make s3x feel completely different for the man?

I had my surgery March 30, 2022, because of fibroid tumors and heavy bleeding daily. I have absolutely no desire to have sex. And when I do get the urge it’s very short lived.

This is so misleading! Because that's only if you're able to keep your ovaries! If you have to have a complete hysterectomy it is completely different! So please Miss Melissa pettigrass explain to people the difference between a partial hysterectomy and a full hysterectomy because there is a huge difference

i thought uterine contractions wouldn't affect my orgasm because i didn't feel any contractions even with the uterus BUT after the surgery I still feel a huge difference and the orgasms are not at all as satisfying as when i had a uterus, it's been 2 years since the surgery...it's a big disappointment for me...

I dont think you see the point in the concern… its not the absence of pain and discomfort, its a surgical alteration to the female anatomy that includes possible severing of nerves and permanent surgical changes to structure of the body that women are concerned about. Not the relief of symptoms. These are two COMPLETELY different things.

Do not let them lie to you even if you keep your ovaries there is a hormonal difference that you as well as your mate can tell. Please preventive measures need to be put in place at an early age mothers need to be prepared to make sure their daughter are avoiding the risk and elevating healthy habits. 🌄☮️🦍🖤

8 weeks post open abdominal hystorectomy and the first three weeks in agony i was wanting it obviously wouldnt do it now the hot sweats and nausea and severe anxiety has kicked in and i have no desire to have sex even my doctor said get back to it at 8 weeks and no way the thoight nakes me scared of cuff tear and not only that the swelling in my stomach makes me feel horrendous

With having endometriosis it kills your sex dive.. whats different about getting a hysterectomy. Endo hurts in general along with sex, what would be different by getting a hysterectomy? Good or bad ?

The worst decision that I ever made was the removal of my uterus. Sex SUCKS and men can tell that something is missing be it less enjoyable. I can not keep a relationship because of it. it's depressing and it has ruin my sex life. kegel exercise does not work...I have tried it. Apparently my love life is over!

That's not true. The main blood vessels that supply the ovaries are cut during Hysterectomy which will cause the ovaries to produce less hormones and not function properly. This will cause a woman to have less or no orgasm, vaginal dryness and psychological issues such as mood swings and irritability.

Many do not have the desire to have intercourse they just are trying to please tell mate. If you catch it early on the preventive measures that most doctors will not even give you a inkling of but when it comes to your health ladies you have to do what you have to do. It's not good for the younger women in the prime of their life. But as you mature you will find a mate just be honest about that and let the cards fall where they may. 🌄☮️🦍🖤

I am in danger of losing my uterus during c-section because of an existing subserous fibroid which might behave badly during surgery, although it has always been asymptomatic, so I obviously expect the worst in case my uterus gets removed. I do not believe in other positive outcome, except staying alive (which is essential, after all). But saying that sex life will not be affected is a far-fetched life, according to my logic.
