Behind the track 🔽

What inspired me to produce this song were the early 2000’s Trance classics, hence the title ‘2004’.

It was the first time I decided to really focus on long-form storytelling in a dance song, which I felt that era of music did so well.

The main challenge was making sure it still worked as a dance song, yes, something people can journey through but still move their body to.

Some throwback sounds you can hear are the old school trancey plucks, which I think will never go out of style. 💥
