i have heard there are 130, 000 oil rigs in the gulf of mexico...all in danger of sinking because the sea floor bed is shifting/sinking . it's all about post glacial rebound and it is a geo fragile zone.

This is a good, informative clip, but how many of this huge number of oil rigs have had accidents causing serious leaks or spills? If many have, then this information should be added and the clip would then be far more frightening for [most] people, sane people anyway. If there've been few accidents and not much oil spilled or leaked, then people can interpret the clip and few leaks as meaning that offshore oil rig operations are very seldom dangerous.

@tsinn, yeah, that can't be good at all, .. crud! Anyways, I saw that. I was trying to see how many wells there are, (talking to friends on facebook) I thought there were about 4000 max.

BTW thanks for posting! it kinda made me speechless. this looks like way more than the other one map I looked at today, and it said at that time there were over 6000 wells. do you know how many all together? and do you have a link?

AlAllerton replied to my comment on June 22nd and I don't see any comments that recent for this video. There is one that says the comment was removed by the author and my guess is that it's AlAllerton's, but why remove it if what was said in it is true? It seems to be meant to be true and if it's truthful/accurate, then why this self-censorship, since other people could also benefit from reading it? Taylor Platform leakage, fe.
