Thought about buying one, but instead I bought a metal rail from the bulk metal section of my hardware store and used 2 clamps 🗜 on each end to make cuts. I eventually bought a similar one to your bora at Harbor freight, but The piece of metal was actually better! Lol

Very Good thanks, I had to move and broke my heart needed to sell my table saw off as I just didn't have the space and the remote garage I now rent didn't have power so need a cordless saw so gotta a circular instead, so this gadget clearly is the answer 😎👍
By the way in your description on the distance twix blade and (Tray) edge I believe the word you were looking for was 'Baseplate' 😆👍 Cheers!

Video should be titled “circ saw guide rail” Kind of missing the point in a track saw ….. it keeps pressure down on your material A-swell stopping chip out by using the same concept as a zero clearance on a table saw . I.e blade is right up against the guide no room for blade movement , also can’t get the wobbles on a track ……

Hugely beneficial! i was seriously looking into track saws and shocked at how expensive they are.

can pick up a piece of 1/4 angle iron and 2-3 clamps for the same price and do some pretty long cuts.

The piont of a track saw is its splinter guide and the guide locks the saw into the track, dewalt now have a circular saw the dcs 576n flexvolt cordless with track rebates in its bed, which can be used on a dewalt track but also other cheaper tracks .😃👍👍👍👍

You need to show your cutoff piece that resulted from your quick example of cutting!

I use a piece of flat stock aluminium and two quick clamps at a fraction of your cost for that

you do know Lowes sells those as well at a $40 adapter that you can bolt on to your saw that works with that guide to make it a track saw.

This video should have talked about the bora NGX track saw system. Essentially a clamp for your track saw that fits in the bora straight edge grooves. It replicates a REAL track saw.

I purchased this and deeply regret it. I find it only good for a straight edge now.
You have to have your board that you are cutting on a flat surface like a table, not saw horses. The board bows and the saw got caught between it and the piece. Really dangerous situation. So, use a big table.
The second problem was the sliding part of the clamp, at 1:30 in the video, gets stuck and difficult to unlock. I have to use a hammer to unlock it now. So this is the main reason I use it as a straight edge.

And why do I need to spend $50 for this? I can use a straight metal channel/pipe, a straight piece of wood, a long level, aluminum extrusion, a t-square, literally anything straight with an edge and wood clamps to do this. Lmao

Definitely going this route. Does pretty much same as the track saw, but way cheaper and is not a dedicated system.🤘🤘awesome!!!
