Molluscum contagiosum is a highly contagious viral infection and it can be seen in children also. It present as a dome shaped spherical lesion which maybe be vesciculated and it can be ether in any part of the body. Usually it is a self-limiting disease and it subsides by itself. The child may get it through an adult contact or play groups. If there are multiple lesions and the treatment may be required, a skin specialist may be consulted and they can do local agents, cryotherapy or a chemical cautery can be done. This is commonly called as warts. Seen in children in playgroups and those who go to day care centers.
