Looking back at some of your older videos with SGC. I really hope they step up their game in the next year. I think they have an honest chance to get back in the game with PSA recent price hikes.

There's some nice vintage 1950/1960 SGC slabbed cards for auction this week at Sirius Sports card auctions...If I can pick up a nice card in an SGC holder...I will. There are times when SGC will sell cheaper than a comparable PSA ...even when the PSA has minimal centering. If I can pick up a nice SGC centered of the same card at the same grade...I will. especially if the price is lower. I buy the card, not the grade. I believe 50's and 60's cards are right for SGC....the cards sure look nice in those holders....they bring out the cards essence...I have about 10 SGC cards from the 50's and 60's in my PC. SGC in some ways is much tougher on grading than PSA...just seems that way to me.

I always wonder what the heck all the grading companies do with the slabs after they grade the card because so many times they scuff the slab up so bad, like with the Ichiro card. It's annoying to say the least.

I prefer SGC old slabs vintage well centered HOF'ers with nice eye appeal 1888 thru 1915...but, will grab a PSA if it's nice. From 33 thru 41....it don't matter SGC/PSA....from 47 thru 72 it's PSA but, if it's a nice card...I'll snap it up in an SGC holder. from 73 onward it's PSA....I don't buy new stuff until it's at least 10 years old unless it's a shining rookie of a future GOAT...if I can get a PSA 10 rookie for under $10....and I have..on Elliot, Prescott, S.Ohtani, Garoppolo, Puig/ Beckham, etc. At least I've got the player. Got some nice 98 Mannings in the last year...PSA 9 and above...no 10's here...for under $10

You paused at the 2nd Griffey Fleer, I saw it too. I think they flipped the tags on those. 3rd was O/C and looked like the 8.5
SGC is soo busy I’ve seen labels swapped often.

I agree with you on people being hung up on the grade number. Eye appeal is the factor for me.Love SGC, most cards look great in that black holder. Excellent content again.

Nolan, I've warmed up more and more to the SGC grading company, but I wish they would get rid of the four levels of defining Mint. It's either Mint or Gem Mint. The other two levels should be done away with. Great Video nice cards.
