Who is The Sandscratcher?
My mission is simple: To share stories and life lessons, offer advice & encouragement, plus share my love of music & TV....oh yeah, and anything else I find of interest!

My channel is where I'll share my memories, chat about life in general and share my love of music, old films and more.

You won't find my thoughts on politics, religion and such, as I've always believed them personal.

Here, it's all about sharing those things I've learned through the years, and remembering events that have stayed with me.

They always say to follow your heart. I think the majority of the time it's a crapshoot. They also say hindsight's 20/20. Can't say that I completely agree with that either. At least when I need to get grounded I know where to go. Thanks!

I’m more of a spontaneous decision maker. I find a path and I follow it. If it leads me to what turns out to be a bad decision then I take the next path. I am the author of my own destiny. Every different choice that we make comes from many locations like you said, the gut, the heart or just plain financial gain. I brought up my children to create their own paths (just like I believe), and to make their own decisions, regardless if I thought they were making a mistake or not. My daughter for example, had a full scholarship for a private college. When she was in her second year, she fell in love with a man who wanted to go out west to California to live. So she went. Long story short, that didn’t work out, so she moved in with me (I was living in Texas then) and went to work in the mortgage department. Today, she is a motivational speaker, wrote 2 books and is living happily ever after. My son, has had the same experiences of making his own mistakes, creating a multi million business and getting back up. To make decisions …some good…some not so good, is a way I think of learning. And when you stop learning, you might as well be ? (I was going to say dead). I think we should all have a few ‘do overs’ in our lives, at least 3!!! I honestly believe in what Popeye used to say: “I yam what I yam. I am what I am, and that's all that I am.” I’m sure your son’s will appreciate these words of wisdom from you, but I have a feeling that they already know it.

Made too many choices that didn't turn out to count. I did however learn from each time.

This would be true if there was not an army of sociopaths out to decide our destiny for us.
Deciding what paths are acceptable.

Always seek feedback from a person you trust.

I was married to a narcissist sociopath and made the decision to get a divorce, it was good for me to leave him, it changed my life for the better.
