iPhone 8 Plus vs. 7 Plus camera comparison

We journey around San Francisco to test out the dual rear shooters on the iPhone 8 Plus against last year's 7 Plus.

I know there are something new on the 8+ but I seriously believe 7+ is not that far behind. I'll keep my 7+ till the next generation of iPhones with new design.

I prefer the more natural colors of iPhone 7, although the iPhone 8 has better video capturing. But I'd wanted to test it with my own hands.

My iPhone 7 Plus should have the new Portrait Features, I still have 2 sensors and I dont think that the OIS on the Telephoto Lense is a problem with the new features.

Nice concise comparison. I agree, the 8+ has better image quality but just took advantage of a carrier sale and picked up a new 128GB 7+. I agree with the comment below that slow-sync flash could be added to the 7+ via software. Both the 7+ and 8+ are great choices. Not holding my breath that the iPhone X will be dramatically better than the 8+. Better light capture and OIS on the telephoto lens and that is about it.

The Pixel 2 has caught up and even surpassed Apple in the image quality department, but I prefer the overall experience of iOS. Hope that apple's next gen cameras continue to improve at more than just a small increment in 2018.

I screen captured the sample photos from this video and edited the photo captured by the 7 plus to achieve a better photo than the 8 plus. I only need lightroom and my iphone 7 plus. I dont need to shell out another $800 for a slightly better camera processing. Iphone 7 plus is still legit.

I laugh at these iPhone 8 reviews as when the iPhone X hits the streets for the general public there will be no iPhone 8 or iPhone 8+ noticed or posted on.... There will be a lot of whining about where is mine, preordered....
