As someone who grew up in China I immediately figured who the intended customers are 😂 It's mostly going to be farmers in villages who needed to commute a mile or so between their home and the farm, and there's not going to be a well paved road anyway, and definitely no need to go beyond 15 mph, so "street legal" isn't even a thing. Nevertheless it's quite interesting you shipped it all the way to America

It’s good it has a bed to collect parts as they fall off

The fact this thing has a dump bed, a/c and info deck is madness 😆

Make sure that there aren't any transport spacers sitting on top of the shocks if it has shocks. This is normal to prevent the vehicle from bouncing during transport.

A friend of mine bought one of these, he is a metal worker and his dad is a trailer welder. They measured>recreated the entire chassis with 304 steel and proper welds.
They adjusted the suspension mounts to fit Volswagen Lupo suspension.
My dad who is a yacht electrician redid all of the wiring and after that they outsourced a complete repaint.

Honestly it's a great vehicle now, however they are now looking for a stronger engine/battery pack to take it to the next step :D

"Does ford know they took the explorer name?" Let's not acknowledge the chevy front end 😂

The AC has 3 settings: loud, hearing damage and bleeding from the ears.

In the Philippines, there are low speed registrations for these vehicles (vehicles limited up to 60kph ~ 38mph). The only caveat is these vehicles are not allowed on expressways, but city and provincial highways, totally legal. These are popular with barangay/sub-district deliveries of purified water (tap water isn't 100% drinkable here), laundry, vegetables and even short family trips.

I wanna see a long term review on how it's held up Over the past few months. Especially how those welds held up.

Make all the jokes you want, it's great to see a company strive for cheaper car options. Not everyone that needs a vehicle can afford 40-50k "entry level" cars.

I use to build highway capable EVs . But this would be really handy on my farm and VERY fun as well. Thanks for sharing.

I think you can list it as a farm vehicle with a SMV reflect triangle sign & it's covered under that insurance like a tractor. Also a little deflation of the tires will give you a smoother ride too.

When he popped the frunk and revealed air conditioning and a firewall, I was blown away. That’s what made me realize this thing is an actual truck, not some big mobility device.

Maybe not this one specifically, but I could see a lot of Oil and Gas companies being interested in these. A good number of plants already use gators or quads with trailers to move small loads around (or just make the operators lives a little easier), getting something that can provide coverage and heat/ac in a similar foot print would actually be useful. Speed limits are usually no more than 15-30km/h within the plants anyway and if they're following the pipe to a wellsite or something it's usually decently flat land.

It looks like a tiny Silverado 😂
And you can always throw the safety triangle on the back and now it’s “farm” equipment

Thank you for sharing the unboxing and review of this interesting utility vehicle. As a retired person I can think of a thousand things this vehicle could be used for. I was surprised at the "extra" expenses that you had to pay just to get a complete operational unit. That being said, I do like the idea of a small electric utility vehicle.🙂

There is no way, looking at the welds on that frame, that vehicle will ever be street legal. Could you even imagine what a wreck by someone in a full size car would look like against that tin can?

I'm smiling watching this because you are definitely a glass-half-full kinda guy. It is refreshing to see someone looking at the brighter side.

Definitely less costly and more functional than a golf cart. Great option if you don't need the power of a Mule. It's kinda cool!
