More than 412,000 Australians are now benefitting from the NDIS, with 193,000 receiving
supports for the first time.

For many people the NDIS has been life-changing, but others have told us it is not as fair,
simple and flexible as it could be. Now that the NDIS has rolled out across Australia, it is time to
make some changes so that it works for everyone, and to ensure that it is sustainable and in
place for the future.

The end result will be an NDIS that Australians can rely on, one that
delivers fair and consistent plans and personalised budgets, is easy to use, is fast and
responsive, provides participants with more flexibility to use their budgets to achieve the best
outcomes for them.

We have shared our early plans for transformation in our Participant Service Guarantee and our
Participant Improvement Plan but this is your NDIS and we need your input to help ensure the
design and delivery of those changes result in an NDIS that works for everyone.

We want to
make sure the best NDIS possible is here and working for you, your family members and
anyone who needs it in years to come, so it is important that we get it right.
