That scene in fact is expressly NOT true and her character although patly based on the queen of torture WAS a composite based on multiple people.

There is a program on I believe showtime called "The Spymasters CIA in the crosshairs" it sheds quite a bit of light on this. The real hero in this whole thing was Jennifer Matthews who seemed to be in charge of the op for the CIA. I also read a really good book that came out sometime shortly after 9/11. The title is "Jawbreaker and it is by Gary Berntsen" great story and it came out long before the book The Horse Soldiers or the movie 12 Strong. I'm not trying to take anything away from the guys in The Horse Soldiers what they did was truly amazing. There is also a special on I think Paramount plus called "The Hunt for bin laden" and it has some interviews with Gary Berntsen and talks about what really happened at tora bora as well as many other things. FLY NAVY!!!
