Only a few years ago India was hailed as the world’s fastest-growing economy. For a moment, India’s rise as a new economic powerhouse seemed unstoppable. The country was also on track to become the world’s third-largest economy 5 years down the road. But of late, the red-hot economy appears to be losing steam. Growth last year plunged to 4.2% - the slowest in over a decade. And now COVID-19 has brought the already struggling economy to a screeching halt. Will India survive the impact of the coronavirus onslaught? Can it hope to get its economy back on track? Or, is it likely to get much worse before it gets better?

The rich is super super rich but the poor is the MOST. I can only suggest that EDUCATION shld be made compulsory at least 10 year s & aid in food to all students. Another controversial suggestions is that proper/ control religion shld be taught where more on morality & civic be taught. I would like India grow but conservatively... That only suggestion.

With the population more than 1.3 Billion ppl, second after China.. but the Covid 19 positive cases in India, 3rd ranking after US n Brazil..i don't think Modi can handle n over come this fatal Coronavirus Pandemic!!!🙏😥🤷

What's the point of keeping the lockdown when immediately after the lockdown people with the virus were brought back to the country in lakhs what they should have done during the lockdown so tht those people could have stayed inside their homes .Then they send the Labour back to their villages after two days the industries were told to start then why did you send the Labour's back how will the industries run without the Labour.This government does'nt think before taking any decision but we have no other option .

Pity India now having close to 3 Million cases and now at number 3 for country having most Covid cases .. Scary time for India and I doubt India can overcome this crisis cos unlike China it lacks some kind of discipline and expertise ... Lets pray for India.

Politicians are good at blaming one another, nobody cares for the poor and middle class, the middle class also finds it difficult as many have lost jobs, but nobody wants to talk about it.

It is the due to the leadership of the country. Do these leader see their countryman life as important or critical as their own since past history till now. If from history till now, there is enough or good placement of medical supports or infrastructure or Healthcare consideration or education, the outcome will not be like this today. What kind of past you did or never did result in present condition now. It is not a one day, one month or one years thing, it is over last 10 or 20 or 30 years. Only real crisis like this unveiled the true value of a humanity life and how the leader or government treat their people. A culture that do not move with time to improved the living environment and we can only say forever the generation will only in the cycle of suffering of undue death.

India cases growing rapidly by day so highly suggested to ban all travelers from India for a long time cos SG cannot afford another lockdown if there is 2nd wave.
